I have create two projects which are so much fun to wear and keep your fingers busy for ages!

The first one is a spinning pendant, which I decided I could make into a Yes / No pendant, so depending on my mood and how I felt about a certain thing, I could spin to the most appropriate answer! Of course, you can be far less childish than me and ut something meaningful or clever on both sides!

The second one is an inro box - well at least it's inspired by one. I think these Japanese wearable boxes are so beautiful and they have many different versions of them on line. This one was fun to make and I wanted to thow a few variables into this project - like an updated lentil bead and some lovely carved beads which we will solder in place. The box opens and moves on the chain - hence why it's a kinetic piece.

You will learn:

  • How to create a spinning pendant
  • How to ensure that all parts of your piece are lined up and precise
  • How to fire Sterling silver wire
  • How to create a box with a fitted lid
  • How to accurately measure and drill holes t ensure a working inro box
  • How to create a satellite bead
  • How to carve silver clay easily
  • Hot to fire complex pieces
  • How to solder beads onto silver chain

Please note – this online workshop is NOT suitable for a complete beginner. A working knowledge of clay is assumed.

A KILN is also necessary for this online workshop. I do offer a kiln firing service if you don’t have access to one.
