Typical Project For a Silver Clay Beginner’s Workshop

Welcome to my Silver Clay Beginner’s Workshop

This is exactly the place to start if you’ve never worked with Silver Clay and want to understand the product and the end to end process. Even if you’ve done a little bit of Silver Clay in the past, you might find that this is the best way to start, because a lot of my students have come to me after doing other classes and said they learned such a lot from this one class.

You will design and create a minimum of three unique pieces to take away the same day. Under my expert guidance you will work through the whole process from planning and creating your piece to firing and finishing.  This day-long course offers plenty of time for one-on-one coaching and to work on your own unique designs.

Bring some inspiration with you or have a look at my pieces on display to give you some ideas.

This Workshop will cover the following basics:

  • Handling Silver Clay and understanding the potential and limitations of the material
  • Moulding, shaping or stamping your design
  • Drying and finishing the piece before firing
  • Firing the piece with a jewellery butane torch (we give you safe guidance)
  • Getting a professional finish to your work.

The course fee includes Silver Clay (worth over £50), full set of written notes, use of tools and firing equipment and access to our online Student Support videos, documents and membership to my exclusive student Facebook group.
