Module 7 – Using Wood Clay for Hollow Objects

Welcome to Module 7

Hello and welcome to Module 7! We are roaring ahead now and using Wood Clay as a fantastic armature to make some amazing hollow jewellery. Since you are now at this Module, you’re going to learn exciting techniques of working with wet clay and build up your skills some more. Because touching and working with wet clay is something that you need confidence to do, but it’s necessary for more difficult techniques!

I’m also excited for this month’s Bonus section – because it’s all about Paper Clay or Sheet Clay. It’s a little project all in its entirety. So, this month you’re getting three main projects for the price of one (as a little thank you for staying with me!). The Paper Clay earrings is a project for a beginner, and it is set up with the beginner in mind, you can fire these earrings in a kiln and polish them as you would normally. They can even go in a tumbler – just be prepared for a little bit of straighening out afterwards.

Happy playing!

Module 7 is made up of the following components;

Wood Clay Video – a little video which shows you how easy Wood Clay is to manipulate and create with. Here I show you how to create the armature for the Heart pendant project.

Syringe earrings – Module 7’s first project video (I suggest watching this one before the Heart pendant)

Heart Pendant – Module 7’s second project – there are several videos for this project because it’s pretty in depth and I wanted to show you all of the challenges to working with wet clay. Follow the number sequence and you should be just fine.

Module 7 – PDF document for you to download – showing both projects. It’s a big document this month, so have plenty of paper in your printer 😉

BONUS PROJECT – Windmill Earrings with paper clay – 3 videos and one PDF

Enjoy!
