Making Band Rings with Silver Clay
Hello! I am so happy to have you here! Together we are going to make beautiful rings!
I don’t know about you, but I’ve always been frustrated when I walked into a shop and couldn’t walk out wearing a ring I liked, because they were never in my size! But now I can make my own and they fit and they are exactly to my taste 🙂
So dig in, there’s lots to cover. In this course you will find the following information;
Making Band Rings with Silver Clay – Part 1 PDF – this covers the whole end to end process of making a plain band ring and decorating it with syringe for a unique finish. You will also find guidance in here about hand firing your ring and hand finishing your ring if you don’t have a kiln or a tumbler / rotary tool.
Making Band Ring with Silver Clay – Part 2 PDF – this covers creating a textured ring band and adding a topper (with an embeddable, fireable stone). This is an Appendix to the Document 1.
International Ring coversion chart – which gives you the sizes for countries and their comparison with others – for example, if you know your ring size in a UK size and want to convert to an US size, this chart will show you. It will also give the ring’s internal diameter in millimetres.
A Kiln Firing Guide PDF – if you have a kiln, then it is the best way to fire rings. My guide will talk you through how to fire with a kiln.
8 Up close and personal videos – which take you through the process of making the rings covered in this online course. They are numbered in order for your convenience and split into easy to watch, logical chunks.
There are also some little bonuses for you;
Supplier List PDF– gives you the names and websites of some of my favourite suppliers, but feel free to use your own tired and trusted supplier if different from the list.
Storing your clay Video – well the project can take a little bit of time, so I thought I would share how I keep my clay fresh and moist for weeks.
Reconsituting clay Video – this is a really important part of working with clay – you need to be able to minimise waste and this video shows you how to reconstitute your clay.
I really hope you enjoy this online Workshop and I hope to see you in the Facebook group which you can join by clicking on the link below!
